Christina Parker Gallery is pleased to present Celebrating 40 Years, with a selection of new and recent work from our gallery artists. Please join us in celebrating four decades of exceptional art and artists!

The exhibition will be on view in the gallery beginning Dec. 6 and will continue until Dec. 31. There will be an artist reception on Friday, Dec. 6 from 6–8pm, with music provided by Kira Sheppard.

This exhibition marks forty years since Christina Parker opened her first gallery space.

On December 4th, 1984, the first exhibition opened at Contemporary Graphics, a little gallery space on Queen’s Road, that specialized in works on paper. The gallery quickly grew and in June 1989 it opened in an expansive new space at 7 Plank Road, with a name change to Christina Parker Gallery. The new space offered an opportunity to exhibit a varied program of contemporary art in all mediums and to take on more artists.

In July 2011, Christina Parker Gallery moved to the present location at 50 Water Street.

It’s been a privilege and an honour to have mounted hundreds of exhibitions with artists of extraordinary talent who have contributed to our unique cultural environment for which we are known across the country and beyond.

Please join us in celebrating 40 years of exceptional art and the artists who have made it possible.
