“Dreamland is a reflection on the rugged beauty of Newfoundland—a place where land, sea, and sky meet in an ever-changing dialogue. Through this exhibition, I explore the quiet power of the island’s windswept coastlines, weathered landscapes, and vast open spaces, finding beauty in both their rawness and their resilience. Newfoundland carries a sense of otherworldliness: familiar yet untamed, grounded yet dreamlike. These works are an attempt to capture that feeling—the stillness before a storm, the shifting light across the ocean, and the enduring presence of the land—inviting the viewer into a landscape that feels as much imagined as remembered.” ~ Kristina Søbstad
