Christina Parker Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of paintings, pastels and drypoint/etchings with celebrated Canadian artist John Hartman. This will mark the artist’s fourth solo exhibition with the gallery.
Christina Parker Gallery formally introduced the work of John Hartman to St. John’s in 1991 in the inaugural exhibition titled John Hartman: Drypoints, Lithographs and Pastels. In honour of Hartman’s 25+ year relationship with the gallery we are celebrating with an exhibition of selected rare drypoint/etchings from 1985 – 2000 as well as new paintings and pastels created especially for this exhibition.
The exhibition John Hartman chronicles the artist’s interest in Newfoundland as an inspiration to make art and the genuine connection he holds with the land, the culture and the people of the province.
